Benjamin F. Gallagher

Mr. Gallagher began his career in a busy personal injury law firm in 1985. He became an experienced litigator, trying many cases to verdict and representing clients in mediations, arbitrations and appeals.

Since 2005, Mr. Gallagher has also represented insurance carriers in subrogation claims involving workers’ compensation and property casualty claims on a nationwide basis.  He maintains a network of local counsel across the country to assist these claims, and has recovered millions of dollars for his subrogation clients. He is admitted to practice in Minnesota and Wisconsin, and has received PHV admissions in more than 20 States.

Mr. Gallagher was raised in Minnesota and enjoys spending time with his family golfing, biking, and enjoying the great outdoors.

 

John was raised on a farm in South Dakota. After attending the University of Minnesota law School, John practiced law for three years in La Crosse, WI. John moved back to the Minneapolis area to work at a small law firm. John then worked as in-house counsel for an insurance company for fifteen years before moving to a personal injury firm. In May 2019, John joined the Gallagher Law Firm as a trial attorney.

John has lived for over 20 years in Burnsville and is married to his wife Judy. He is a past member and President of the Burnsville Planning Commission.  John also is a past member of the Minnesota Teacher of the Year Award Selection Committee.

John practices in the area of personal injury. John has tried over 60 jury trials in his 29 year career. He has spent the majority of his legal career representing automobile and homeowner insurance companies. John now brings that wealth of insider knowledge to work for his injured clients.  This experience assures the best settlement possible for his clients. If obtaining justice requires advocating for his client during trial, John’s skills provide the highest quality representation.

John was appointed by the Minnesota Supreme Court to be a member of the Minnesota No-Fault Standing Committee. This committee oversees the administration of Minnesota No-Fault law.  John Served 8 years on the No-Fault Standing Committee. John is a member of the Ramsey County Bar Association and the Minnesota State Bar Association.  He has been named a Rising Star and a Super Lawyer by Minneapolis-St. Paul magazine.
